Pierrette Bloch
This publication delves into the latest artistic endeavors of the French virtuoso, Pierrette Bloch, aptly titled "Pierrette Bloch." The task at hand was to devise a fitting design concept for the carefully curated content already selected.
Immersing myself in a thorough study of her oeuvre, I sought to grasp the essence of the book's offerings. Drawing inspiration from this research, I opted to bifurcate the book into two distinct parts. The initial segment unfolds as a leporello, elegantly showcasing the entirety of the artist's work. The subsequent section envelops the associated texts and essays.
To accentuate the organic materials intrinsic to Pierrette Bloch's artistic realm, I made the deliberate choice to sew-bind the book. This tactile decision serves not only as a nod to the artist's preferred materials but also as an embodiment of the thoughtful and harmonious design crafted for this publication.
